The Great Lakes Dredging Team will hold the next in its series of informational webinars starting at 8:00 a.m. CST on Friday, February 26, followed immediately by the Team’s 2021 Semiannual Meeting. Informational webinar participants are welcome to participate in the GLDT meeting.
This informational webinar is themed as “CDFs: Past, Present, and Future,” and will focus on management of confined disposal facilities (CDFs) for dredged material in the Great Lakes. Included will be a look back at how CDFs have evolved in the region, and how their future is being shaped; case studies of CDF development in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Duluth-Superior; and an emerging technology – GeoPools – used for sediment dewatering.
The GLDT Semiannual Meeting will feature a summary of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers FY 2021 dredging budget and updates on current GLDT activities. A copy of the agenda can be found here. Registration is free, but required.
